How to Create Multiple Streams of Income at Home

From the title you already know I’m a hustler. I’m inherently creative and have always sought out ways to make money other than a traditional 9-5. These tips have worked for me, but you can tweak them to your own standards!

1. Work Multiple Jobs (Don’t click away just yet!)

Work in jobs that will further your vision. For example

    • Fulltime Job: helps source income to fund your vision
        • Ie working in a grocery store or at your university

    • Part-time Job: A Job with a low salary BUT will help you with future endeavors, such as going to grad school or a future dream role!
        • ie leadership positions, finance roles, internships

    • Side Hustles: These could be popup/gig roles that you do every once in a while, or on a weekend! The income is unsteady but provides enough to get by.
        • Ie Grubhub, TaskRabbit, Instacart, Rover, Upwork

This has helped me receive amazing opportunities! I currently work as a researcher under a national organization because of this

2. Start Your Own Business!

I started my own business when I was 18 and had nothing, and it took off! You have to take that leap of faith and invest in yourself.

You can make a business out of anything, as long as you have a passion for it. My business was contact graphic design and selling custom products!

Helpful Tips

    • Track all your expenses for the tax season, you can write off a majority as business investments (as long as it isn’t a loss overall!)

    • DO YOUR RESEARCH! I spent hours looking up youtube videos, dming other people, networking, and reading books. I kept a journal to document everything. I also did a lot of social media research to see what products were in season, and sometimes launched surveys to get an idea of what my followers wanted.
    • Use reliable vendors! I did not drop-ship for my business, as I wanted to create a memorable, lasting product instead of a quick cash grab. The hardest part of launching my business was finding a vendor that could create an effective product without stealing my work. Oversees vendors tend to be cheaper, but because of the conflicting copyright laws between countries, they can easily resell your work. Additionally, samples from multiple companies took time, but ensured I was receiving a product to my standards. Doing your research and taking your time is important!

 3. Social Media

I get paid to post! I never promote products for free. We’re in a new age where you can make money at the tip of your fingers!

Few examples

    • Pinterest creator fund pays you to make original posts

    • Social Media Marketing

    • Blogs

    • Affiliate Marketing

    • TikTok Livestreams

    • User Generated Content (creating ads for brands)

Note: when working with brands, always sign a contract no matter how small it seems to protect yourself! This may seem consuming but it ensures payout. As a small creator, social media helps me bring in an extra $200 a month!

4. Investing

This is where the multiple jobs come in. I used to invest a small portion of my income and I would watch it grow. You have to do a lot of research on your end but this is a great way to make passive income.

A friend of mine made $50,000 in a sitting once! I trust this more than the lottery because money is always guaranteed if you make informed decisions. Only invest what you can afford to lose!

SO START NOW

Stop letting others become rich while you’re scrolling mindlessly on social media. You could easily be making money, so take that leap of faith and get to it!
